Black’s Seaside is a two mile extended sandy strip situated at the base of majestic cliffs up to 300 ft high. It is formally recognized as Torrey Pines Town Seaside and Torrey Pines State Beach in that it is jointly owned by the Metropolis of San Diego and the State of California. There is a glider port atop the cliff overlooking the seaside in which hangliders paragliders and remote managed gliders can often be observed soaring.
Entry to Black’s Beach is very difficult due to the higher cliffs and lack of improved stairways. The safest accessibility is from adjacent beaches to the north and south but this accessibility may possibly be obstructed by higher tides or surf.
